David Blaskey has over thirty years of experience in Corporate Development and Integration and is the founder of The Blaskey Group, providing valuation and consulting services to mobility clients.

He also assumed the COO position in September 2022 for Aero Corporation, running the recently acquired NJ Avis Budget operation and works with the parent owner on expanding geographic footprint. Aero recently made a private equity investment into Loopit, an Australian SaaS Company providing Fleet management solutions and purchased an Avis Budget licensee in Montana and Wyoming. Aero currently has over 4,500 vehicles and revenue approaching $60 million.

Prior to joining Aero, he was SVP, Corporate Development at Avis Budget Group and worked in the same capacity at the parent company - Cendant Corporation.

Blaskey joined Cendant in 1995. He was involved in the acquisition/integration of Century 21, Coldwell Banker, Avis, as well as multiple Avis licensee acquisitions. He worked on Cendant’s corporate divestiture program, completing 18 transactions. In 2005 he managed the IPO of Wright Express and the acquisition/integration of Wyndham Hotels from Blackstone.

In 2001 he managed the 2nd acquisition of Avis Car Rental. In 2002 he participated in the acquisition/integration of Budget from bankruptcy. He then managed the acquisition/integration of over 100 Avis and Budget licensees in the US and Canada.

In October 2011 he managed the acquisition of Avis Europe. In 2012 he managed the acquisition of Apex in New Zealand. In March 2013 he worked on the acquisition of Zipcar for $500MM. In July 2013 he participated in the acquisition of Payless Car Rental. In October 2014 he handled the acquisition of the Budget licensee in Southern California and Las Vegas. In January 2015 he worked on the acquisition of the Avis/Budget licensee for Sweden, Norway and Denmark. In March 2015 he managed the acquisition of Maggiore Group, Italy’s fourth-largest vehicle rental business. Through 2022, he completed over 50 acquistions, including Poland, FranceCars, Norway, Sweden, Birmingham/Huntsville and Morini, and 10 divestitures, including China, Brazil, Argentina, Netherlands, Greece, Show Group in Australia, and St Thomas.

Prior to joining Cendant, Blaskey worked at JP Morgan in Investment Banking. Blaskey graduated Cum Laude from Boston College with a Finance degree. He received his MBA from Fordham University and an executive MBA from Wharton.
