Carlos is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in the car rental industry, holding leadership roles that span advocacy, education, and operational innovation. He has been a speaker in several industry events, moderated and led panels focusing on teaching and assessing the knowledge of panelists and participants. He has been recognized as an authority on car rental corporate development and best industry practices and safety. Carlos currently serves as Head of Operations for Americas for Green Motion International and U-Save International, leading their networks of over 150 franchisees and helping them become successful and profitable. Within Green Motion and U-Save, he has build a strong network of vehicle sourcing and financing partners. Before Green Motion, he served as Vice-President of Legal and Government Affairs at Auto Spot Rentals, and he drove its Corporate Development division, building models and proformas for the company's operation and its fleet planning. Carlos has also experience as a car rental operator in both, airport and neighborhood locations with his own brands previous to joining Auto Spot Rentals.

Carlos is a member of ACRA's Board of Directors and serves in the Advisory Council for the Athena ZEV project at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory. He is a strong advocate for security policies and regulations in favor of the industry. He has been featured in several media outlets in the United States, Mexico, Colombia, and Spain, including a full profile in Fortune Magazine in Mexico. Carlos' focus on fleet planning is based on scientific and mathematical formulas that help any operator maximize its fleet profitability.
